Roberts began his career at Comcast in 1981, working in the company's programming department. He was promoted to president of the company in 1990 and became CEO in 2002. Under his leadership, Comcast has grown to become the largest cable television provider in the United States. In addition to his role at Comcast, Roberts is a director of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association and a member of the board of directors of the National Cable Television Cooperative. He is also a member of the board of directors of the National Constitution Center and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Roberts has been married to Aileen Kennedy Roberts since 1983.
