He is best known for his work on the films The Boys, The Bank, and The Book of Revelation. Goldman began his career in the film industry in the late 1980s, working as an assistant director on the Australian television series The Flying Doctors. He then went on to direct several short films, including the award-winning The Boys. In 2006, Goldman wrote and directed his first feature film, The Bank, which was nominated for several awards, including the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Film. He followed this up with the critically acclaimed The Book of Revelation in 2006, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Goldman has also directed several television series, including the Australian drama series Love My Way and the US drama series The Slap.
